The cool thing about getting older is perspective. I can look back and learn things. I can see the patterns of choices that lead me a certain way. I can also see where they started. I am able to discern what I should be concerned about and the things I shouldn’t sweat anymore.
I always pray and meditate on what I should write about in these little “skincare” blog posts. It has been interesting to me how the inspiration comes and what message I am lead to write about.
Sometimes I say to the universe, “ What does this have to do with Skin care?” The truth is it has everything to do with skin care. It is all connected. We are all connected. My home, my family, my community, my country, my state, my county.
We are all the same. We allowed our “differences” to divide up. In social ways, economically, cliques at school and separating the “beautiful” people.
Having asked for help from the universe nothing was coming to me. I was talking to a friend about how I was trying to write my blog and I am drawing a blank. He said you should write about kindness. Funny how the universe provides!
It is election day. The ads have been brutal here for the senate race. It has gotten ugly and nasty on social media between my red and blue friends. I am so looking forward to tomorrow and some peace I hope. Ultimately though one group will be angry about the outcome.
Chinese Face Reading I’ve told you that a really kind person will show their gums when they smile. I am immediately drawn to those people. They make me smile and give me the warm fuzzies!
Unfortunately they seem to be rare these days! It’s like a unicorn spotting! We get so caught up in the waves of emotions of those around us sometimes it drains the very essence of who we are. We lose the kindness, compassion even love we should have for people.
My friend had an employee that he had been having some trouble with. He said I went in with a different approach to him yesterday. I was kind and I talked to him. Today I walked up to him and he greeted me with a smile. Usually he would have the look of uh oh here comes the boss.
I love that story. I live by one of Maya Angelou’s sayings, “ People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”
Everything is connected. As above, so below. Your face is a direct reflection of you, your emotions, your spirit, your habits, dreams, desires, feelings, past, present and future.
When we hold onto the anger and the bitterness it is just like waves eroding the rocks it crashes against, those emotions erode features in your face. It doesn’t matter how many procedures you have done. Let’s start looking at why the lines are there in the first place.
I want as many joy lines on my face as I can get! I smile big, not as big as my daughter Kayla but big enough at everyone I meet. I want them to know they have been seen. Be kind. Trust me it will manifest on your face.
